London – Property Sold Prices per SQ FT

London is of course the most expensive place to buy property in the UK, with houses and apartments sometimes selling for astronomical prices. As the city is so big and diverse, we have broken it down into individual areas to give you a broader overview.

Manchester & Liverpool Property Sold Prices per SQ FT

In North West England, the sold prices in Manchester are almost half that of London, with an average of £367 per SQ FT. Meanwhile, Liverpool sold prices are even lower, averaging £209 per SQ FT in the south of the city, and £134 per SQ FT in the north of the city.

Newcastle Property Sold Prices per SQ FT 

Heading over to the North East of England, Newcastle has an average sold price of £228 per SQ FT in the NE1 postcode. 

 Leeds & Sheffield Property Sold Prices per SQ FT 

Next, we will compare property sold prices between North & South Yorkshire, looking at the two major cities, Leeds & Sheffield. Leeds has an average property sold price of £292 per SQ FT in the LS1 postcode, while Sheffield’s average is £215 per SQ FT in the S1 postcode.

Birmingham Property Sold Prices per SQ FT 

Moving to the midlands, the property sold price is slightly less than Manchester but more expensive than most of the North of England, with an average of £334 per SQ FT in B1.

Bristol Property Sold Prices per SQ FT 

Our last stop in England is the South West, specifically Bristol, where the property sold prices jump up to £464 per SQ FT in the BS1 area. 

Edinburgh Property Sold Prices per SQ FT

Moving up to Scotland, and the nation’s capital, Edinburgh. The average property sold prices can be very expensive in prime central areas, selling for £703 per SQ FT on Ann Street, and £591 per SQ FT on Belgrave Crescent. However, considering the cheaper outskirts of the city, the overall average of Edinburgh drops to £247 per SQ FT. 

Glasgow Property Sold Prices per SQ FT

Glasgow is reported to have the fastest growing house prices in the UK, jumping by 5.1% since 2019. The recent Botanics development project, comprising of 94 units, saw a property sold figure of £410 per SQ FT, and the average price of prime real estate in Glasgow is now around £290 per SQ Ft.

On to the Welsh capital, Cardiff, where a prime central property has an average sold price of between £240 – £280 per SQ FT, placing it in a similar ballpark to Glasgow and Edinburgh.
